Nursing instructions

organic cotton

Organic cotton products are easy to care for, can be washed in any household washing machine up to 60 degrees and are also suitable for the tumble dryer.

Linen

  • With proper care, linen always looks beautiful
  • Machine washable: max. 40 degrees
  • Tumble dry at low temperature
  • When ironing, use steam instead of hot pressing
  • Linen fabric does not need to be ironed because its beauty lies in its natural folds
  • Keep dry!

Cashmere

  • Wash in the washing machine in the wool program at 30°C
  • then “gentle spin”, ie spin at no more than 400 revolutions
  • Use a special wool or cashmere detergent for washing
  • To dry, spread a towel on the clothes rack, carefully pull/pull into shape, dry lying down
  • Lightly steam smooth-knit items with a steam iron - but DO NOT touch them! Just hold the iron about one centimeter above them. The steam will make the hairs stand up again.
  • A high-quality cashmere product feels comparatively "hard" when you buy it. With each wash, natural cashmere wool becomes fluffier and more beautiful! Different colors may have a different feel (the darker the color, the firmer). This is usually due to the amount of color pigments.

felt

  • To freshen up the felt, wipe it lightly with a vinegar-water cloth
  • For dry dirt, vacuum the surface lightly
  • Dab heavy stains with a soap solution (soap, gentle wool detergent, dishwashing liquid). Squeeze out any remaining liquid in the felt with a dry cloth. Repeat the process if necessary
  • If the felt has become wet, allow it to dry slowly in the air at room temperature
  • If heavily soiled, dry clean
  • When felt is washed, it changes its surface and size (slight shrinkage)

Glass

  • Only put glass in the dishwasher at 50 °C – 55 °C (NO intensive wash program at 70 °C or more!)
  • Be careful when dosing the cleaning powder (using tabs usually results in an overdose, which causes glasses to become dull more quickly)
  • Use regeneration salt to soften water reliably and dose it correctly
  • Hand-painted glass not put in the dishwasher, wash by hand only
  • Our glasses are generally not stackable (mainly because of the fine edges and/or the hand painting)

Wood

  • Briefly wash salad servers with warm water and detergent, rinse thoroughly; wipe wooden coasters and bowls with a damp cloth.
  • wood products never put it in the dishwasher!
  • Never leave in water (wood swells and expands)
  • From time to time, “oil” the wooden products (put some cooking oil/sunflower oil on a cotton cloth and rub wooden products with it)

horn

  • Just wash briefly with warm water and detergent (no abrasive cleaners), rinse thoroughly
  • Do not leave in water
  • horn products never put it in the dishwasher!
  • From time to time, “oil” the horn products (put some cooking oil/sunflower oil on a cotton cloth and rub the horn products with it)

ceramics

  • Wash at 50 °C – 55 °C in the dishwasher (NO intensive wash program at 70 °C or more!)
  • Do not fill with boiling hot water
  • Do not put in the freezer
  • Do not put in the microwave

leather

  • Immediately dab wet stains with an absorbent cloth
  • It is best to check the color of the leather on a hidden area by carefully rubbing it with a white, soft cloth moistened with leather cleaner.
  • Always clean visually related surfaces at the same time.
  • Apply cleaning agent to a cloth first, never directly to the leather!
  • Do not use aggressive agents (such as stain removers, solvents, shoe polish, etc.).
  • It is best to care for smooth leather products from time to time with leather grease, which evens out any signs of wear and tear, has a water-repellent and re-greasing effect.

Loden

  • Due to the biological material structure and the wool lanolin, new wool is absolutely easy to care for and dirt-resistant.
  • Wool has a molecular structure that helps it clean itself. Simply hang the loden in the fresh air and the textile will quickly clean itself of all odors.
  • Solid dirt can be easily removed from the loden when dry using a fine natural hair brush.
  • Stains can be removed with a damp cloth and a little soap. For additional cleaning, you can moisten the material with a little vinegar water and then brush it out.
  • Due to the way it is processed and its components, loden is crease-free. It is best to hang the loden in a warm, damp bath. This will bring it back into shape.
