№4 Bad Goisern

"Soleweg and Handwerkhaus" - the hike along the oldest pipeline in the world, the historic brine pipeline, offers impressive experiences. The romantic path leads from Bad Goisern south for about 5 km to Steeg, directly on Lake Hallstatt. At the end, we recommend stopping off at the "Steegwirt" with the option of a delicious lake char on the lake terrace. From Bad Goisern, on the other hand, it goes along the Traun about 10 km north to the cultural capital of Bad Ischl. Several sights touch on this route, such as the so-called "Kaiser Jagdstatbild", which was erected in 1910 on the occasion of the 80th birthday of Emperor Franz Joseph. Or the wooden "bark chapel" at the Kaltenbachteich natural monument in the Kaltenbachau.
