The Erlas Gallery …
is located in a workshop for altars and figures created in 1632 by Italian Jesuits from the remains of walls. The Erlas' restoration work went far beyond the architectural design; high-quality craftsmanship and artists were also involved. The sum of details created a special identity that also offers ideal space for contemporary art.

Hiking on and around the Johannesberg …
with a visit to the Johanneskirche. The Odinstein, today's Johannesberg, is considered to be an ancient cultural site. The date of the construction of the Johannesberg chapel is uncertain, it was first mentioned in documents in 1356. The chapel has been dedicated to St. John the Baptist since the 16th century. On the way down from the mountain we recommend a short visit to the church of the former Jesuit monastery with a visit to the famous fisherman's pulpit, which was carved by an unknown artist in 1753.

Refreshment tip: …
in the newly renovated “Gasthof zur Post” on the main square of Traunkirchen, or in good weather with a small aperitif in the "Greisslerei" on the square in front of the inn.
