“Short hike to Global Home Lattenbau, a project for Salzkammergut 2024”– a small-scale ecosystem that functions according to the plans and laws of nature. Where we humans expand, nature has to change or even disappear completely, but we still want to live in symbiosis with it. How our coexistence with nature could develop in the future is being explored in an interesting project by Herbert Egger for the "European Capital of Culture 2024". A network of wooden slats forms a house shape in which plants and animals can move in. Over time, the wood will weather, nature will take over and decide at what level of change or weathering it will take back this slatted house.
