It is particularly pleasant to walk along the Traun on hot summer days. Surrounded by the rocks of the Lahnfried, the Koppenwinkel is the ideal place to enjoy peace and quiet in a natural environment.

There are numerous starting points for the hike in the Koppenwinkel. For example, start at the Traun car park at the Koppenrast inn. From here, the hiking trail takes you to the Koppenwinkelalm in 15 minutes, past the children's village and the Koppenwinkelsee - an enchantingly romantic place! A hiking trail branches off from the Koppenwinkelalm in a westerly direction, in about 60 minutes – past the Hagenbach and Bühlerbach to the so-called Ebnersteg. In just under half an hour you will be back at the starting point of the hike through the Koppenwinkel in Obertraun.

Tip for a stop: The Koppenrast inn. The romantic garden is the perfect place to relax. Local products are offered, cleverly presented. Very good quality, ... highly recommended.
