№10 Grünau

"Excursion to the Konrad Lorenz Research Center Wildpark Grünau" – Grey geese are actually monogamous, very social and have an intensive family life. But sometimes it is quite different. Science media are regularly interested in new findings on the almost human-like coexistence of these astonishingly intelligent water birds. Initiated by the Duke of Cumberland Foundation, Konrad Lorenz founded the research center of the same name (KLF) in 1973. His classic study on grey geese laid the foundation for everything that followed. Since 1990, the small research center has become a well-known name in the international research landscape on behalf of the University of Vienna with many students and employees from home and abroad.
