The domestication of alpacas dates back to 3000 BC. While the llama was primarily used as a pack animal in South American civilizations, alpacas were bred for their wool. The Incas considered textiles made from alpacas to be a sign of prosperity. This is not only something that the still-flying alpaca baby "Ian Viracocha" likes.
